The Bible's way to weight loss!

Introducing First Place 4 Health, the all-new Christ-centered weight loss and healthy living program that focuses on the four essentials of health and wellbeing; the mind, emotions, body and spirit.

 See how putting God first can lead to successful weight loss.  Learn how God calls Christians to be physically fit.  Understand the positive effect good nutrition and exercise has on our emotions and spirit.

 The First Place 4 Health program will be offered at First Baptist Church of Jennings.  We would like to have two groups; one will meet on Monday evenings from 5:45-7:00 p.m. and the other would meet on Thursday morning at 9:45-11:00 a.m.  A minimum of 10 people per session makes for good group dynamics.

Women on Mission^® is a missions organization for women (ages 18 and up) through which women pray for and give to missions, do missions, learn about missions, grow spiritually toward a missions lifestyle, and participate in the work of the church and the denomination.  The WMU meet on the second Tuesday of each month at a different member's home.  Please check the calendar of events for that information, or you may call the church office.

Music Ministry - The message of the Gospel is always the same, but the method of delivering the Gospel is changing all the time in our music and drama programs.  First Baptist Church Jennings offers choirs for all ages including children, youth, and adult.  We also have  a summer youth band and drama team.  Call the church office if you are interested in more information.

Children's Ministry Sunday School   Come see how we are teaching and loving God's children today as we encourage and prepare them for tomorrow. Sunday School begins at 9:15 a.m.  There's a class for everyone!

Family Life Center

Children's Church Ministry - Church has never been this much fun!  It's always an adventure at Children's Church where Biblical truths are brought to life every Sunday for children from ages 4 through fifth grade. Through engaging music, skits, and games, Children's Church teaches children how the Bible applies to their lives and reinforces what they're learning from their families.

Prayer Chain Ministry - This is a prayer ministry for crisis situations.  The church congregation meets for prayer requests and other needs on Wednesday and Sunday; however if an event takes place that you feel merits immediate prayer, please initiate the prayer chain by calling one of the individuals on the list provided here.  Then they will in turn begin to call the others.

Pre-School and Kindergarten Program - For more than 40 years we have been providing a Christian education program  to assist families in establishing the foundation blocks for their children. We would love the opportunity to be a part of the enriching process for your children. Please take a moment to look at some of the recent activities of our school.

Girls in Action^® (GA^®) - GA's is a WMU^® missions organization for girls who are age 6-11 or in grades 1-6. GA's helps girls begin to develop spiritually towards a missions lifestyle as they learn what God is doing in the world and discover their place in God's plan.  The GA's meet each Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. in the FBC Educational Building.

Mission Friends^® - Mission Friends is a mission organization for boys and girls ages 4 years through kindergarten. Mission Friends meet each Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. in the Nursery Building.
